Job Summary
The Legal Counsel will provide comprehensive legal support for Trafigura's commercial trading activities in the APAC region, focusing on banking finance and structured trade finance. Responsibilities include advising on structured trade finance-related documentation, regulatory compliance, identifying legal risks, and collaborating with the Global Legal Team. The role demands a legal professional with at least 7 years of post-qualification experience and credible private practice experience in the UK, Singapore, Australia or New Zealand.
Required Qualifications
- Legal professional qualification
- At least 7 years post qualification experience
- Qualified in either the UK, Singapore, Australia or New Zealand
- Credible private practice experience in relevant jurisdiction
Desired Qualifications
- Preference for in-house experience in a trading or equivalent commercial environment
- Significant international and cross-border experience in finance and/or trade finance and/or banking finance
- Broad range of legal skills
- Good IT and organisational skills
- Excellent command of the English language
