Job Summary
Senior real estate attorney sought to lead legal support for clean energy and data center development projects across Intersect’s portfolio. The role manages real estate transactions through all development stages, including site control, acquisitions, and related agreements; supports M&A activities; negotiates and manages lease options, purchase options, easements, crossing agreements, and other real estate contracts; collaborates with Land, Development, Construction, Operations, and Environmental/Permitting teams; coordinates with outside real estate counsel; drives efficient transaction execution while balancing risk and business objectives; requires a J.D., active license to practice law, and 5+ years of experience in real estate transactions within clean energy or infrastructure contexts; excellent communication, project management, and problem-solving skills; comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Required Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law
- 5+ years of experience as a real estate transactional attorney
- Strong experience with real estate agreements used in clean energy, infrastructure, data centers, or related industries (options, leases, purchase and sale agreements, easements, title insurance)
- Experience supporting complex development projects, acquisitions, or project portfolios with multiple stakeholders
- Ability to independently manage high-volume transactions with attention to detail and sound judgment
- Proven track record negotiating and executing real estate transactions with commercial teams and external counsel
- Strong project management, organizational, and prioritization skills in a fast-paced setting
- Ability to balance legal risk with practical business considerations and provide commercially focused advice
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset and collaborative approach
