Job Summary
Review, draft, and negotiate commercial agreements with clients, vendors, and business partners. Provide legal advice on commercial law, contracts, privacy, regulatory compliance, and risk management while partnering with leaders to support strategic initiatives. Manage real estate transactions, leasing arrangements, and property-related matters by identifying legal risks and ensuring ongoing compliance with evolving regulations. Collaborate with external counsel for specialized expertise and contribute to policy development and continuous improvement within the Legal Services team. This role requires a Juris Doctor and 4-7 years of in-house experience, with a salary range of $73,465 - $101,013 CAD. The position is available remotely within Atlantic Canada or in hybrid arrangements at Dartmouth or Moncton offices.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) or Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.)
- Member in good standing with a Law Society in at least one Canadian province
- 4-7 years of experience as a practicing lawyer
- Experience working as in-house counsel
- Strong experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex commercial contracts
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong business acumen and the ability to provide sound legal guidance in a complex business environment
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively both independently and collaboratively
- Reliability Status Clearance (Enhanced Level B)

- Resided in Canada for at least 5 years
