Job Summary
Legal Counsel – Litigation handles pre-litigation and minor litigation matters across multiple divisions and state jurisdictions, performs legal research, and supports business teams by addressing routine issues under senior guidance. Responsibilities include responding to inbound claims (subrogation, subpoenas, UCC lien claims), resolving escalated customer care matters, negotiating and resolving deposit disputes, managing trade partner disputes and mechanic’s liens, overseeing small claims cases, coordinating with external law firms on routine and lower-risk matters, addressing Contractor’s License Board and DRE complaints, and maintaining thorough matter documentation while identifying legal risks and emerging trends with business-oriented solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school; licensed to practice law in the U.S.
- 0-5 years of legal experience, with a strong background in litigation.
