Job Summary
Provide legal advice across US and London markets covering prime brokerage, securities lending, and regulatory compliance for equities, fixed income, and derivatives. Lead negotiations on ISDA Master Agreements, Credit Support Annexes, and banking deposit agreements. Advise on transaction reporting, clearing, and margin requirements while collaborating with Risk and Treasury to implement regulatory projects. Manage large-scale cross-functional initiatives from initiation through completion. Requires 8+ years of in-house experience at a complex financial organization. Base salary $200,000–$250,000 USD.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of legal experience
- meaningful in-house experience at a large, complex organization
- Strong background in both private practice and in-house environments
- ideally within leading buy-side financial institutions, asset managers, or trading firms
- Sound understanding of OTC derivatives
- deep familiarity with ISDA Master Agreements
- familiarity with Securities Lending Documentation
- familiarity with related regulatory frameworks
- Proven track record managing large-scale, cross-functional projects from initiation through completion
- Strong business acumen
- ability to translate complex legal issues into clear, actionable guidance for senior stakeholders
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- D. from an accredited law school
- active bar membership
