Job Summary
Legal Counsel role for Hydro Extrusions involving strategic legal support across corporate, commercial, regulatory, and compliance matters. Responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex contracts (supply, distribution, licensing, procurement, technology agreements), advising on compliance and governance, leading small to mid-level M&A transactions, managing litigation and regulatory investigations with outside counsel, developing legal policies and training, and mentoring Associate Legal Counsel. Requires Juris Doctor, Illinois license, 6+ years post-JD experience, strong contract-drafting skills, cross-functional collaboration, and travel (10-20% to North American plant locations, plus one Group Legal Department meeting per year). Preferred familiarity with employment law, data privacy, and IP; strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor degree from a fully accredited U.S. law school
- License to practice law in the state of Illinois.
- At least 6 years of post-Juris Doctor legal experience, ideally with a combination of law firm training and in-house counsel exposure
- Demonstrated experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts.
