Job Summary
Conduct day-to-day legal matters with autonomy, escalating to senior counsel as needed. Support a broad mix of work including fundraising, product engineering collaboration, data and AI regulatory reviews, and leading M&A deals under the roll-up strategy. Apply commercial judgement to minimize risk beyond strict legal constraints. Embrace AI tools to draft, automate, and scale legal work by building reusable templates, playbooks, and workflows, while owning the in-house legal AI repositories platforming. Grow into broader responsibility, eventually supporting junior team members.
Required Qualifications
- Around 3 PQE+
- An excellent academic and training background (UK or Australia qualified)
- Familiarity with M&A

- a commercially-minded lawyer
- an appetite to work across the other legal matters a scaling tech business is likely to face (fundraising, AI-product roll-outs, litigation, employment, data, compliance, general commercial, and more)
- Hands-on experience using AI tools to create legal work product — for example, building templates, playbooks or automated workflows in a platform such as Wordsmith — and a genuine appetite for legal automation and coding
- Digital product experience
- In-house, tech / start-up experience
