Job Summary
Orchestrate high-impact global deals by driving end-to-end negotiation lifecycles for key client agreements, including MSAs, SLAs, NDAs, and cutting-edge AI terms. Serve as a trusted business advisor partnering with Sales, Dealdesk, Partnerships, and Finance to close complex tech transactions while navigating software terms and driving deal strategy. Draft legal templates, perform forensic contract reviews, and proactively negotiate terms that balance business risks with revenue goals. Partner with RFP and Partnership teams to win major tenders, build strategic networks, and negotiate subcontractor agreements. Build streamlined contract management processes, track benchmarking metrics, and run training sessions to ensure agreements remain clear and binding. Adapt to diverse challenges by advising on product inquiries, sales disputes, and special initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- JD/LLB from an accredited law school
- Active/admitted to practice law in any province
- 3+ years of experience as an in-house lawyer in SaaS/Tech
- Deep expertise in drafting and negotiating subscription software, data privacy, AI terms, and professional services
- Positive, 'can-do' attitude
- Talent for balancing risk, compliance, and fast-paced business goals creatively and with high integrity
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knack for translating complex legal nuances into actionable guidance for internal and external stakeholders
- Highly organized, self-directed, and results-oriented
- Ability to manage multiple high-priority deals under tight deadlines
- Fluency in both written and spoken French
- Strong working knowledge of GDPR and modern global data privacy regulations
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce (or CRM equivalents)
- Experience with LinkSquares (or CLM tools)
- Proficiency with MS Office and Zoom
