Job Summary
Legal Counsel for Cybersecurity & Data Protection provides legal support on cybersecurity, information security, and data protection matters across Thermo Fisher Scientific's global operations. Responsibilities include reviewing commercial agreements for cybersecurity/data-protection risks (vendor, SaaS, technology), supporting global cybersecurity regulations (e.g., CRA, NIS2, SEC cybersecurity disclosure rules), conducting legal review of U.S. government/public sector cybersecurity requirements, participating in incident response documentation and communications, performing regulatory research, supporting internal audits and risk assessments, and collaborating with Cybersecurity, IT, Privacy, Compliance, Risk Management, and Procurement teams to maintain internal guidance and training materials.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in at least one jurisdiction
- 2-5 years of legal experience in technology,c ybersecurity, privacy, regulatory compliance, or commercial contracting
