Job Summary
Support the General Counsel on cross-border transactions, including joint ventures, shareholder agreements, and financing arrangements for nuclear and energy infrastructure assets. Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts and corporate documents while assisting with corporate governance, board matters, and intercompany structuring. Provide practical legal advice on business and regulatory risks, monitor sector developments, and manage external counsel work product. Contribute to internal training and deliver briefings on legal topics.
Required Qualifications
- Qualified solicitor (England & Wales preferred) or attorney admitted in another recognized jurisdiction, in good standing
- LLB/JD or equivalent legal qualification
- 2 years of post-qualification experience at a law firm
- Foundational grounding in corporate and commercial law
- Foundational understanding of corporate governance principles
- Strong commercial orientation
- Ability to balance legal precision with pragmatic business judgment
- Ability to deliver clear, practical legal support in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
- Strong drafting, analytical and communication skills
- Keen eye for detail
- Desire to develop commercial judgment over time
- Ability to work effectively under supervision
- Willingness to take ownership of discrete tasks
