Job Summary

Manage UK data protection compliance by handling data subject requests, maintaining the Record of Processing Activities, and overseeing Privacy Impact Assessments and Legitimate Interest Assessments. Advise on compliant system implementations, including AI, and act as the primary contact with the Information Commissioner's Office. Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, software licenses, and distribution agreements while driving awareness across anti-corruption, anti-money laundering, and antitrust compliance programmes. Deliver training to build a culture of integrity. Requires a qualified Solicitor with UK data protection experience; part-time role based in Belper, UK.

Required Qualifications

  • You are a qualified Solicitor
  • post-qualification experience
  • strong foundation in commercial law
  • practical experience advising on UK data protection matters
  • interaction with the Information Commissioner's Office
  • management of data protection compliance activities
  • AI risks and mitigations
  • strong contract drafting skills
  • negotiation skills
  • ability to provide clear, pragmatic legal advice
  • confidence to manage competing priorities
  • interpersonal skills to build strong relationships across all levels of the organisation
