Job Summary
Legal Counsel - Business Operations at Canadian Natural in Calgary, AB, Canada. Provide legal support to internal business teams including Joint Ventures, Mineral Land, Regulatory & Stakeholder Relations; draft and review a wide range of contracts and legal documents; advise on regulatory compliance, permits, and approvals; support negotiations and regulatory appeals. Requires LLB/JD and active Alberta Law Society membership, 7+ years of relevant practice in energy/oil & gas regulatory matters, and strong ability to work autonomously and collaboratively. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or Juris Doctor (JD) with active membership in the Law Society of Alberta
- 7+ years of relevant legal practice, preferably with energy/oil & gas regulatory focus
- Experience drafting, reviewing, and interpreting a broad range of legal agreements and documents
- Experience interpreting regulations and dealing with regulatory agencies
Desired Qualifications
