Job Summary
Provide day-to-day legal advice and support to commercial and maritime teams regarding transactions in Europe and Asia, including reviewing, negotiating, and drafting contracts. Ensure legal certainty in compliance with applicable legislation and internal rules while managing compliance risks across the organization. Coordinate legal guidance for commercial areas and oversee external counsel in different jurisdictions to assess work quality and cost efficiency. Develop training programs to transfer knowledge and ensure adherence to policies, and implement relevant guidelines from the Corporate Legal department. Review normative documents and standard templates to support effective legal operations.
Required Qualifications
- Law degree required in an EU country or UK (BA and LL.M.)
- 3-5 or 5-7 years work related experience or post-qualification experience in a major law firm or international corporation
- Knowledge to provide pragmatics legal advice (opinions, contracts analysis and business modalities)
- Fluency in English
- Pro-active self-starter
- Willingness to learn

- Finance operations for shipping
- German, Dutch and/or Portuguese
