Job Summary
Review, draft, and negotiate commercial agreements, NDAs, and subcontracts for engineering and infrastructure projects. Conduct legal research on U.S. federal, state, and local regulations relevant to capital projects. Prepare issue summaries, risk assessments, and recommended revisions for project teams while supporting contract lifecycle activities and document management. Assist with internal investigations, claim reviews, and fact development for dispute matters under attorney supervision. Collaborate with corporate functions on legal questions and policy applications, contribute to internal training materials, and perform other tasks as assigned by senior lawyers in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This role supports Hatch's engineering, infrastructure, energy, and technology projects across the United States.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate or equivalent degree from an accredited law school
- License to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- Minimum of three (3) years relevant experience with a major law firm and/or the in-house legal department of a major corporation
Desired Qualifications
- Pennsylvania license or ability to obtain PA licensure preferred
- Strong interest in commercial contracting, project delivery, and infrastructure/energy work
- Detail oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong drafting precision
- Ability to manage multiple matters, prioritize competing deadlines, and work collaboratively across disciplines
