Job Summary
Track updates and revisions to legal guides, flagging outdated materials and coordinating with authors to ensure timely completion. Coordinate and schedule legal trainings for journalists and newsrooms, managing logistics for events, webinars, and clinics while maintaining tracking systems for requests. Support outreach to new partners to increase awareness of the legal hotline and distribute communications materials highlighting available resources. Maintain internal tracking systems across programming areas, including pre-publication review and outreach pipelines, to ensure timely follow-up on commitments. Collaborate with communications and data teams to ensure consistency in program information. This role supports the operational infrastructure of the legal programming team, allowing attorneys to focus on substantive work.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a legal, nonprofit, or professional services environment
- Exceptional organizational skills with proven ability to manage multiple workstreams, track deadlines, and follow through on commitments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; experience drafting professional correspondence and coordinating with external stakeholders
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
- Genuine commitment to press freedom and the mission of Reporters Committee

Desired Qualifications
- Experience in journalism or media law
- Familiarity with media law, press freedom issues, or newsgathering rights
- Experience supporting legal programming, legal clinics, or CLE-style training events
- Experience with CRM or project management platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Monday.com, or similar tools)
