Job Summary
Legal & Compliance Manager – West Africa (Nigeria and Ghana) responsible for serving as the primary legal and compliance resource across West Africa, managing legal, regulatory, and compliance activities, acting as Data Privacy Officer, coordinating regulatory licensing and engagement (Bank of Ghana, Central Bank of Nigeria, CAC/NCC, ORC/GIPC), conducting legal/regulatory research, delivering training and policy development, managing governance, external counsel, and investor compliance, and providing practical guidance on contracts and deal structuring across Nigeria and Ghana.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years post-call-to-bar working experience in a legal/compliance function
- Undergraduate LLB degree
- Working knowledge of compliance standards and regulations
- Experience in risk management
- Experience in contract negotiation and regulatory engagement; prior exposure to structured finance or capital markets transactions is an added advantage
