Job Summary
Prepare researched legal information for case stakeholders and submit on-demand legal opinions to Internal Officers and Project Partners. Update and maintain the Legal Information Kit for victims while liaising with external legal experts and the Prosecutions Team to ensure opinion accuracy. This back-office role requires no court presence, focusing solely on research, drafting, and electronic preparation of complaints, writs, and appeals. The position reports to the Project Manager at the Women Safety Wing in Hyderabad, with an initial one-year tenure. Fluency in Telugu and English, along with strong analytical skills and keyboard proficiency, are essential for this criminal law-focused engagement.
Required Qualifications
- LLB
- 2 years of experience
- preferably in criminal law related litigation
- Proven legal research experience
- exposure of court procedures pertaining to criminal law
- Experience in handling litigation matters across District and High Court and Tribunals
- Drafting and reviewing of Complaints, Writs, Appeals, Contracts and Agreements
- Knowledge of substantive and procedural laws required for Litigation in Criminal Cases
- Research and drafting of legal opinions
- Fluent in reading & writing Telugu & English language
- Keyboard Proficiency- 40WPM 100% accuracy on laptop
- Basics Computer Proficiency: Printing
- Basics Computer Proficiency: File Management
- Basics Computer Proficiency: Excel Basics
- Basics Computer Proficiency: PPT Basics
- Should be less than 45 years as on date of application
- Only qualified legal professionals who are ok with this arrangement need apply
- The position will be working out of Women Safety Wing, Lakdi Ka Pul, Hyderabad
- The initial employment will be for 1 year
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in dealing with cases pertaining to Rape, POCSO, Trafficking and related matters
- Knowledge of Hindi
