Job Summary
Prepare practice-specific forms, update electronic and paper files, and file court documents and e-filings for 5-9 attorneys. Schedule meetings and deadlines, delegate tasks based on workload and priority, and manage incoming and outgoing mail. Open new files, conduct conflict checks, maintain client records, and prepare files for closure. Review pro forma reports and make electronic revisions as requested. Perform other duties assigned to attorneys in the litigation practice group. This role supports a team focused on client service excellence and professional development within a firm that values innovation and collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in similar field
- Excellent spelling and proofreading skills
- Intermediate Microsoft Word skills
- Typing (45+ wpm)
- Effective delegation and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of court filing procedures, including electronic filing
- Working knowledge of internet navigation
- Ability to organize, prioritize and produce quality work
- Ability to effectively multi-task
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
- Adaptable to changing demands from multiple people
- Detail and deadline oriented
- Self-motivated and flexible in order to complete assignments in a timely manner
- Strong team-working abilities
