Job Summary
Legal Assistant to join Social Security team. Responsibilities include scheduling hearings and deadlines, organizing case files, maintaining pleadings and discovery indexes, organizing exhibits and documents, drafting and proofreading correspondence and legal documents, researching regulations and statutes, managing client billing, communicating with clients and witnesses, and providing general administrative support. On-site role in Tampa, FL with benefits for full-time employees.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Associate7s Degree in Paralegal Studies, Bachelor7s Degree, or a Paralegal Certificate (preferred)
- Prior experience as a case manager in a Veteran Affairs department (preferred)
- At least 1 year of working legal, medical, or social services experience (preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Office presence on-site
