Job Summary
Review court dockets and prepare motions and affidavits for filing. Communicate timely with courts, attorneys, and clients while updating internal case management and client systems with case status. Request and follow up on fee approvals for work performed. Maintain exceptional organizational skills to multi-task and adapt to continual change within a team-oriented environment. This full-time role operates Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm in a quiet office setting. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship is available.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2-3 years of experience as a legal assistant or paralegal within a foreclosure firm
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be committed to providing exceptional customer service
- Ability to communicate courteously and effectively with borrowers, clients, attorneys, other internal employees, and outside parties
- Must be able to work with others in a congenial and team-oriented manner
- Must possess exceptional organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to be adaptable to continual change
- Ability to read and write at a high level
- Familiarity with case and document management software
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States now and in the future
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with client systems such as ICE, SSE Portal, Tempo, Vendorscape and others
- Good understanding of the legal process surrounding foreclosure
