Job Summary
Litigation Legal Assistant supports a busy litigation team in the Atlanta office, providing day-to-day administrative and legal support to litigation attorneys and paralegals. Responsibilities include opening new matters, running conflict checks, assisting with time entry and billing, managing deadlines and tracking litigation schedules, drafting and proofreading correspondence and legal documents, e-filing in state and federal courts, client and court communications, maintaining case files in document management systems, processing mail and reimbursements, and overall case coordination. Requires 2–4+ years of litigation support experience; products liability experience is a plus; proficiency with Microsoft Office and document-management tools (e.g., iManage, InTapp, Kofax/Nuance, DocuSign) strongly preferred; excellent attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple priorities, with occasional extended hours as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 2–4+ years of litigation legal assistant experience in a law firm or legal environment
- Experience supporting a high-volume, fast-paced litigation practice
- Products liability experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of litigation processes and court operations
- Familiarity with reading pleadings and legal documents
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience with tools such as iManage, InTapp, Kofax/Nuance, DocuSign, or similar platforms strongly preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
- Ability to work occasional extended hours as case demands require
