Job Summary

Assist attorneys with patent, trademark, and copyright matters by preparing, proofreading, and organizing legal documents and correspondence. Maintain electronic client and matter files, coordinate document execution, and organize physical client files. Support intellectual property prosecution by assisting with USPTO filings, preparing information disclosure statements, and monitoring docket deadlines. Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and government agencies while scheduling meetings and managing attorney calendars. Provide billing support through invoice review and time entry, and assist with document management and special projects. Work approximately 20 hours per week in a flexible schedule.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience as a legal assistant, administrative assistant, or similar professional position
  • Experience working in a law firm
  • Experience with patent, trademark, or intellectual property matters
  • Familiarity with USPTO electronic filing systems
  • Experience with docketing or practice management software
  • Experience using Microsoft Teams and document management systems
