Job Summary
Legal Assistant in a consumer class action department at a law firm. Responsibilities include initiating and managing opening of legal files, organizing forms and authorizations, procuring reports and records, reporting claims to insurance companies, drafting letters for the legal team, maintaining client files, processing invoices, and providing coverage information to medical providers. Role also involves contacting clients for status updates, preparing materials for paralegals to draft demands, scanning and filing documents in the case management system, attending occasional client meetings, and providing translation support (Spanish preferred). Requires strong organizational skills, proficient computer skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and attention to detail.
