Job Summary
Receive and review incoming material to independently determine the need for assembly and preparation of legal documents, including charging instruments, motions, orders, and subpoenas. Proofread and edit drafts of pleadings, discovery requests, and correspondence, then electronically file documents with appropriate courts while adhering to local rules. Assist with trial preparation by compiling notebooks, organizing witness and exhibit lists, and managing grand jury subpoena returns. Perform docketing duties to track cases, monitor litigation expenses, and maintain calendars for hearings and deadlines. Organize physical and electronic files for new and closing cases, produce written materials using office software, and provide technical support for trial presentations.
Required Qualifications
- At least one year of specialized litigation experience
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
