Job Summary
Draft and review agreements, legal opinions, and correspondence to ensure compliance and protect the firm's interests while providing transaction support for deal execution. Support community engagement initiatives and offer in-house legal advice to the Economic Development and Projects team regarding risks and strategies. Provide advisory services on Economic Development, ESG, and B-BBEE compliance, and conduct market research on relevant legal developments. Requires an LLB and admission as an attorney with 2–3 years of corporate commercial experience. Prepared to travel within South Africa. Required Qualifications
- LLB
- Admitted Attorney
- 2 - 3 years of corporate commercial experience (post admittance)
- Excellent drafting skills
- Thorough knowledge of legal principles and procedures
- Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills to evaluate alternatives and provide recommendations on business issues
- Excellent administration and organizational skills
- Well-developed written and oral communications skills
- Motivated to work in economic development, ESG space
- Prepared to travel within South Africa
