Job Summary
Maintain electronic files in NetDocs, draft and proofread legal documents, and handle electronic filings in state and federal court systems. Analyze pleadings and court orders, process docketing requests, manage incoming correspondence, and schedule meetings while maintaining attorney calendars. Enter and review time entries, assist with billing and accounts receivable, prepare expense reports, perform conflict checks, and coordinate attorney travel. Manage opening and closing client matters, prepare engagement letters, and support the Midwest Commercial Litigation Team in a fast-paced environment requiring 3–5 years of law firm experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of administrative assistant experience supporting attorneys in a law firm environment
- At least 3 years of civil litigation experience in state and federal court
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong law firm background
- Ability to thrive in a fast‐paced, deadline‐driven litigation environment
