Job Summary
Legal Administrative Assistant for Labour & Employment in a Victoria, BC law firm. Supports lawyers by preparing and proofreading legal documents, coordinating attorney calendars and meetings, managing client files, tracking deadlines, handling correspondence, liaising with clients and opposing counsel, and assisting with billing and administrative reporting. Requires 2+ years of LAW firm LAA experience, Labour & Employment exposure preferred, and a graduate LAA program. Strong organizational, written/verbal communication, and attention to detail with proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal document management systems. In-office preferred with occasional hybrid after probation; 12-month contract with potential extension.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Legal Administrative Assistant within a law firm environment
- Graduate of an accredited Legal Administrative Assistant program
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document management systems
