Job Summary
Legal Administrative Assistant to support a corporate practice in Vancouver. Responsibilities include opening/closing client files, collecting and organizing client information, managing lawyer calendars, handling mail and file administration, preparing expense reports and trust-related documentation, drafting and formatting legal documents, coordinating transaction documents, assisting with closing processes and digital closing materials, conducting corporate/land title searches, maintaining transaction records, preparing work-in-progress reports and client invoices, reviewing billing information for accuracy, distributing invoices, following up on outstanding AR balances, and providing cross-coverage and administrative support to the team. Requires 2+ years of relevant experience, strong organizational skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office, familiarity with legal practice/document management systems, and a client-service oriented approach.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Legal Administrative Assistant, preferably supporting a Corporate or Business Law practice
- Graduate of an accredited Legal Administrative Assistant program or equivalent education and experience
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document formatting
- Experience with legal practice management and document management systems is an asset
- Familiarity with corporate and land title searches is considered an advantage
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team
- Demonstrates sound judgment, discretion, and professionalism when handling confidential information
