Job Summary
Legal Administrative Assistant in the Construction Practice Group provides support to attorneys by typing correspondence, time-entry and transcription; electronic filing in MO/IL and federal courts, and case filing in the firm’s document management system; drafting, proofreading and formatting various legal documents; scheduling and calendaring internal/external meetings, depositions and hearings; general assistance with litigation processes and procedures; assistance with Mechanic's Liens; and other administrative duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience at a law firm required
- Experience in litigation matters strongly preferred
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Adobe are required
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with ability to meet deadlines in fast-paced environment
- High level of attention to detail, ability to proofread and format legal documents
- Experience with document management systems as well as time-entry software preferred
