Job Summary
Oversee the firm's daily accounting and financial operations, supervising the team on accounts payable, receivable, billing, trust accounting, payroll, and general ledger activities. Ensure timely month-end and year-end closes while preparing regular financial reports to support leadership with budgeting, forecasting, and planning. Monitor cash flow, reconcile accounts, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency. Work closely with attorneys and administrative staff to maintain strong internal controls and meet deadlines. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3-7 years of accounting or finance experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities
- Knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounting
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments
- Demonstrated leadership skills and experience mentoring or supervising accounting staff
- High level of professionalism, accuracy, and discretion when handling confidential financial information
