Job Summary
Develop and implement planned giving strategies by identifying, cultivating, and soliciting gifts from a portfolio of legacy donors and prospects. Cultivate and maintain meaningful, values-based relationships while guiding supporters through the full legacy giving journey, ensuring intentions are clearly understood and well-documented. Share knowledge with internal and external stakeholders on planned giving vehicles and assist in creating communications materials. Maintain donor portfolios using moves management strategies and oversee the administration and stewardship of life insurance policies. Collaborate with the Manager, Legacy, and Allied Professionals to build programs and engage them consistently.
Required Qualifications
- University degree in a relevant field (marketing, communication, finance, accounting) or relevant experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in fundraising, client management, or relationship-based sales
- Extremely strong relationship building and business development skills
- Demonstrated experience with multi-stakeholder relationships and complex systems
- Very high emotional and spiritual intelligence to engage in sensitive conversations
- Has an appetite to continually learn and develop skills
- Understanding of the donor/client lifecycle (identification, cultivation, solicitation, stewardship)
- Proficiency with CRM software and data analysis
- Strategic thinking and proactive problem-solving
- Experience with legacy/planned giving
- Must be able to demonstrate a commitment to the core values and mission of the World Vision partnership
Desired Qualifications
- CFRE, CAGP, CMA, CPA, CFP, LLB certification or designation
