Job Summary
Lecturer position in Canadian Literature and First-Year Writing at UBC Okanagan (Kelowna, BC) within the Department of English and Cultural Studies. This full-time, one-year role (start September 1, 2026, or mutually agreed) involves teaching eight sections per year, including ENGL 222, ENGL 333, ENGL 470, and first-year English, with delivery modes normally in-person. The successful candidate will teach Canadian literature courses at second, third, and fourth year levels and first-year writing, demonstrate expertise in settler Canadian literature, participate in departmental affairs, and may contribute to curriculum design and committee work. Preference given to applicants with a PhD and post-secondary teaching experience; ABD files or substantial teaching experience will be considered. Salary: $70,216 per year. Required Qualifications
