Job Summary
The lecturer role involves developing and delivering curriculum for Diploma in Marine Engineering and training to achieve Certificate of Competency, teaching Pre-Employment Training (PET) and Continuing Education and Training (CET) with curricula aligned to STCW standards; collaborating with industry on field trips, internships, and overseas programs; advising Technical Executives to ensure training facilities are updated and operational; serving as consultant/expert in maritime domains; participating in QMET quality audits; supporting polytechnic/school events, education counselling, and outreach; requires leadership, teamwork, strong communication, and mentoring skills; contract initially for 2 years.
Required Qualifications
- Marine Engineering Officer Class 1 Certificate of Competency issued by MPA or relevant authorities
- At least 6 years of working experience within the maritime industry
