Job Summary

Design, coordinate, and deliver high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in robotics and mechatronic engineering while aligning courses with industry needs. Develop and lead high-quality research programs, secure external funding, and publish impactful outcomes through interdisciplinary collaboration. Supervise Higher Degree by Research students, manage employees, and provide performance feedback. Engage with industry partners, participate in research networks, and contribute to internal service roles and committees. These permanent full-time positions offer a base salary ranging from $119,462.94 to $168,043.68 plus 17% superannuation, with visa sponsorship potentially available. Based at the St Lucia Campus in Brisbane, the University of Queensland encourages applications from candidates with a strong record of publications and research funding.

Required Qualifications

  • PhD completion in robotics or mechatronic engineering
  • record of research in robotics or mechatronic engineering
  • growing profile in teaching and research in the field
  • developing reputation and track record of publications in reputed refereed journals and presenting at conferences
  • Evidence of successfully seeking, obtaining, and managing external research funding
  • Evidence of a high level of quality teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level across a variety of settings, including small and large groups
  • Experience in course coordination and contribution to the development and continuous innovation of new programs, curriculum design and course material in the discipline area
  • A growing record of supervision of undergraduate, postgraduate coursework, and HDR students to successful completion
  • Experience in meaningful internal service roles in conjunction with active contributions to external activities
  • National recognition in the area of expertise, with an internationally developing profile and an established record of publications in reputed-referred journals and conference presentations
  • A strong track record of course coordination and participation in the development and continuous innovation of new programs, curriculum design and course material in the discipline area
  • A solid record of supervision of undergraduate, postgraduate coursework, and HDR students to successful completion
  • A growing record of meaningful internal service roles in conjunction with a strong contribution to external activities
