Job Summary
Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Cyber Security and Software Engineering responsible for developing, coordinating and delivering high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate courses across programming, cyber security and software engineering; leading and contributing to teaching, research, supervision of HDR students, and engagement with industry/government; advancing curriculum design, securing external research funding, and fostering inclusion and wellbeing within a vibrant academic environment. Requires completing a PhD in computer science or related field with a demonstrated record of quality teaching and course coordination, and a developing national reputation in research with publications in reputable venues. Salary available at Academic Level B or C, with relocation support possible. The position is based at the St Lucia campus in Australia and involves teaching, research, supervision, and university service duties.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in computer science or a relevant field, specialising in cyber security, computer engineering or software engineering
- evidence of high-quality teaching at undergraduate, honours, or postgraduate level
- experience in course coordination and curriculum design innovation
- evidence of external research funding experience
- supervision of Honours and Research Higher Degree students
- contributions to internal service roles
