Job Summary
Lecturer of Mathematics at Butler University teaching four courses in the fall, four in the spring, and two in the summer; provide mentorship and feedback to students; oversee and contribute to the math curriculum; engage students outside of class; support student retention and success through inclusive, evidence-based pedagogy; connect mathematical concepts to real-world applications across business, health, community work, and everyday decision making; participate in administration, assessment, and program development; begin in June/July 2026 with a renewable 12-month contract and a focus on teaching, advising, and mentoring.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher
- previous teaching experience (college-level or high school teaching acceptable)
- certifications related to teaching and/or area of expertise
- knowledge and skills in algebra, statistics, and calculus
