Job Summary
Lecturer manages the department's event agency and coordinates all event management industry projects. Responsible for sourcing industry events in the private and public sectors to enable students to conceptualise, plan and execute real-life industry events/projects in the special events and MICE sectors. Maintains strong linkages with external stakeholders such as government agencies, event companies, and other potential clients. In addition to teaching duties, carries out industry or consultancy projects to stay current with industry changes and provide opportunities for industry attachments or experience to update skills, knowledge and practices. Senior lecturer opportunities exist for those with relevant experience, with potential career development to leadership roles within the Colleges or Headquarters.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in Business Administration, Marketing or related disciplines with work experience in Event Management.
- Experience in conceptualising a broad range of events in the special events and MICE sector.
- Ability to establish constructive relationships with external stakeholders such as government agencies, event companies and other potential clients.
