Job Summary

Oversee all aspects of leaves within the agency, including Family Medical Leave Act, Paid Parental Leave, and Paid Family Leave. Calculate leave eligibility, types, commencement dates, and balances while preparing letters for Director review. Provide employee guidance on leave forms via phone, email, and in person. Coordinate with third-party insurance carriers for City of NY Paid Family Leave requests and update computerized leave reports. Assist with follow-up on expired leaves and support data preparation and analysis for the Leaves and Benefits program. This role requires a baccalaureate degree or equivalent experience with one year of administrative supervisory experience. Required Qualifications

  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college
  • An associate degree or 60 semester credits from an accredited college
  • A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization
  • Three years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience
  • Four years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience
  • Five years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience
  • One year of administrative or supervisory experience performing clerical/administrative work of more than moderate difficulty
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
