Leave of Absence Specialist

Job Summary
Administer and manage various leave programs, including FMLA, short-term and long-term disability, PLOA, and other leave policies. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local leave laws, including FMLA, ADA, and other relevant regulations. Provide comprehensive case management for leave requests, tracking documentation, monitoring leave status, and coordinating return-to-work plans while monitoring third-party vendor compliance. Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding leave inquiries, guiding them on policies, documentation requirements, and the leave process. Collaborate with HR, management, and external vendors to facilitate leave processes and maintain accurate records of leave requests in compliance with privacy regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field
- Strong organizational skills
- Communication skills
- Problem solving skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in HR, benefits administration, or leave management
- Specific knowledge of FMLA and ADA regulations
