Leave Benefits Coordinator

Job Summary

Administer, monitor, and track all leaves of absence and related processes, procedures, and supporting documentation. Coordinate cross-functionally with Benefits, Payroll, Human Resources, managers, and third-party administrators to manage inquiries, validate payroll adjustments, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local leave laws. Enter, track, and report on leave-related data in Workday HRIS while preparing templates, communications, and monthly reports for impacted teams. Occasionally support reasonable accommodation administration and escalate complex matters as needed. Report to the Leave Administration Manager in the Washington, DC office under a hybrid work policy.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant human resources experience
  • Experience working with HRIS platforms
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local leave laws and related requirements, including the Family and Medical Leave Act, state paid family and medical leave programs, sick and safe leave laws, pregnancy-related leave, and military leave
  • Knowledge of workers' compensation fundamentals and processes
  • Proficiency with the Workday HRIS
  • Superior service orientation
