Job Summary
Leave and ADA Specialist responsible for administering all employee leave and accommodation programs (sick, FMLA, military, personal, funeral, jury duty) and handling the ADA interactive process. Acts as the single point of contact for employees, management, and HR on leave and absence management, ensuring compliance with federal/state/local regulations. Responsibilities include coaching and advising stakeholders, adjudicating and tracking leave requests, coordinating with Legal, Benefits, Payroll, Risk Management, and disability carriers, reviewing medical certifications, coordinating return-to-work and fitness-for-duty processes, maintaining accurate records in HRIS, and developing training and guidance materials. Requires advanced knowledge of leave laws, strong administrative and data-management skills, confidentiality, effective written and oral communication, and the ability to work in a collaborative, policy-driven environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field
- Two or more years of leave and disability administration experience
- Equivalent combination of education and work experience may be sufficient
- Pre-Employment testing including acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR) and background check
