Job Summary
Leasing Specialist coordinates military families' leasing activities with the property management team, conducts showings, qualifies applicants for government-compliant leases, manages waitlists and inspections, maintains resident files, supports community programs, assists in marketing and advertising to drive traffic, and helps prepare leases and move-in/move-out logistics while ensuring compliance with Hunt Military Communities policies and government requirements. Responsibilities include coordinating move-in dates, pre-move-in inspections, documenting service requests, performing market analyses, and supporting the Community Director/Manager with social events and program implementations. Requires HS diploma or GED; BA/related degree preferred; prior leasing and computer/office software experience; strong communication, customer service, organization, and multitasking abilities; valid driver’s license and ability to drive as part of role.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Property Management, other related discipline Preferred
- Previous Leasing Experience Required
- Experience working with computers and typical office software such as Email, Word, Excel, and internet browsers. Required
- Previous experience in sales Preferred
- Strong customer service skills
- The ability to show houses which may include working in all types of weather conditions
- Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment and discretion in handling highly confidential information
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and proven ability to communicate clearly and professionally with individuals at all levels, internally and externally
- Ability to handle multiple priorities with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- A high degree of professionalism and a strong work ethic coupled with a sense of responsibility and integrity required
- Ability to resolve problems independently and responsibly
- Requires a reliable, self-motivated team player who pays close attention to detail, demonstrates strong communication, client management and business literacy skills
- Demonstrates discretion and ability to maintain a professional attitude and appearance
- Effectively envision, develop, and implement new strategies to address competitive, complex business issues
- Takes initiative to identify and anticipate client needs and make recommendations for implementation
- Requires use of technology platforms on a daily basis
- Basic understanding of safety practices
