Job Summary
Leasing Specialist responsible for driving occupancy and resident satisfaction in a multifamily community, including showing apartments, qualifying leads, processing rental applications, coordinating marketing initiatives, and supporting the Property Manager with daily operations to ensure a positive living experience and solid financial performance. Responsibilities include conducting property tours, verifying applications with background and credit checks, preparing lease documents, move-in readiness, executing lease agreements, designing marketing plans to generate traffic, promoting the community on digital platforms, coordinating referrals and employer outreach, staying informed on market conditions and rental trends, assisting with renewals, and maintaining accurate records in property management software (e.g., Yardi, OneSite). Skills emphasized include strong customer service, excellent communication, organization, multitasking, attention to detail, problem-solving, independent work capability or teamwork, weekend flexibility, and professional interaction with residents and vendors.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum one year of experience in leasing, sales, or customer service; property management experience preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Property Management software experience is a must.
- Experience utilizing social media (Facebook, Instagram, etc.) is preferred.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Must be customer-service oriented with the ability to interact professionally with residents and vendors.
- Flexibility to work weekends if required by the property.
- Valid driver’s license required (for operating golf carts if applicable).
