Leasing Specialist - DTLA High Rise

Job Summary
Oversee daily leasing responsibilities by establishing rapport with residents, conducting property tours, and managing lease applications while ensuring compliance with Fair Housing laws. Coordinate welcoming new guests, maintain the availability list, and conduct market analysis to prepare leasing activity reports for corporate submission. Accept rent payments and security deposits, liaise with the maintenance team for repair needs, and ensure all prospective residents are screened and documented accurately in property management software. Complete opening and closing procedures while following up on qualified unclosed traffic within 24 hours. Work in-person in downtown Los Angeles from Saturday to Wednesday, 9am to 6pm.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one-year of experience in a customer service-related industry
- Minimum of one-year of apartment leasing experience
- lease-up experience
- combination of accounting skills/education with customer service experience
- strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of established leasing practices and procedures
- Demonstrated ability to diffuse and respond to customer concerns to avoid escalation of the problem
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
- Computer literate with capability in email, MS Office and related communication tools
- Willingness to participate in training in order to comply with new or existing laws
Desired Qualifications
- some college
- one-year of apartment leasing experience (lease-up experience preferred)
- combination of accounting skills/education with customer service experience is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to support and contribute to community team
- Strong oral and written communication skills
