Job Summary
Drive traffic, tours, and applications to lease-up communities, converting prospects into residents while tracking occupancy goals and communicating results to leadership. Proactively manage the sales process by assisting with move-ins, lease renewals, and resident transitions, maintaining disciplined follow-up with unconverted leads and providing input on pricing and promotional strategies. Develop relationships with local employers, housing agencies, and referral partners to generate qualified leads, while assessing leasing challenges in portfolio properties to identify performance improvements. Record visits accurately in Yardi systems, process applications and documentation in compliance with Fair Housing laws, and partner with onsite teams to ensure properties meet company standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of multifamily leasing, sales, hospitality, or customer relations experience
- Demonstrated success in lease-up, high-volume leasing, occupancy recovery, or challenging property environments
- Strong sales, negotiation, objection-handling, and closing skills
- Ability to develop outreach relationships and represent the community professionally in the local market
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can work independently with limited supervision
- Flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, community events, and portfolio support assignments
- Solid computer knowledge, including Microsoft Word, Excel, internet, email, and property management systems
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel to assigned communities as business needs require
- Passion for providing exceptional customer service and creating positive resident and prospect experience
Desired Qualifications
- Low-Income Housing Tax Credit, HUD, affordable housing, or mixed-income housing experience
- Working knowledge of Yardi Voyager Property Management Software
