Job Summary
Drive traffic, tours, and applications for lease-up communities by converting prospects into residents, managing move-ins, and renewals. Proactively identify opportunities to increase occupancy by assessing performance gaps, partnering with onsite teams to improve lead management, and sharing best practices. Develop relationships with local employers and organizations to generate qualified leads, while maintaining disciplined follow-up on all inquiries. Record visits accurately in company systems, process leasing documentation, and ensure compliance with federal and state housing laws. Report progress on occupancy goals and provide input on pricing and promotional strategies based on market feedback.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of multifamily leasing, sales, hospitality, or customer relations experience
- Strong sales, negotiation, objection-handling, and closing skills
- Ability to develop outreach relationships and represent the community professionally in the local market
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can work independently with limited supervision
- Flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, community events, and portfolio support assignments
- Solid computer knowledge, including Microsoft Word, Excel, internet, email, and property management systems
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel to assigned communities as business needs require
- Passion for providing exceptional customer service and creating positive resident and prospect experience
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated success in lease-up, high-volume leasing, occupancy recovery, or challenging property environments
- Low-Income Housing Tax Credit, HUD, affordable housing, or mixed-income housing experience
- Working knowledge of Yardi Voyager Property Management Software
