Job Summary
Leasing Specialist at Conifer Realty drives occupancy and delivers resident-focused service in affordable housing communities. Responsibilities include greeting prospective residents, conducting tours, marketing available units, processing leasing applications and renewals, ensuring LIHTC/HUD compliance, and assisting with rent collection and service requests. Requires 2+ years leasing experience (preferred), familiarity with affordable housing programs, proficiency in Yardi or similar software, strong communication and organizational skills, and a high school diploma or GED. Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus; weekend hours may be required.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of apartment leasing experience preferred
- Experience with affordable housing programs (LIHTC, HUD-Section 8, HOME, RD) strongly preferred
- Familiarity with Fair Housing and compliance requirements
- Proficiency in Yardi or similar property management software
- Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills
- Basic math and data-entry abilities for rent collection and recordkeeping
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills are a plus
- High school diploma or GED required; COS or TCS certification desired or willingness to obtain
