Job Summary
Greet guests upon entry, maintain model unit conditions, and show vacant properties to prospects while following up on daily traffic. Prepare lease documents, process applications with credit and background checks, and secure deposits in accordance with Fair Housing and company procedures. Conduct business adhering to federal and state laws, update availability reports, and submit processed applications for manager approval. Ensure apartments are ready for move-in, secure resident signatures, and orient new residents. Follow up on closed prospects, refer them to sister communities if needed, and assist with renewal programs. Open the leasing office daily, manage phone etiquette, and report violations or emergencies to management. Coordinate with administrative staff to update resident databases and assist with marketing strategies and property events.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- two years of leasing experience
- communicate in English
- excellent leasing and closing skills
- computer skills
- organized
- Ability to understand and explain lease documents
- Ability to sell the property's products and services to prospects
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
- Some lifting; typically 25lbs. or less
- Ability to climb up to four flights of stairs to access units
- Ability to walk several acres to tour the community
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to sit at a desk for long periods
