Job Summary
Show and lease apartments to prospective residents by communicating with them regarding information, complaints, or problems. Accompany prospects to model apartments to discuss room layouts, available facilities, and lease terms while completing lease forms and collecting deposits. Inspect model conditions daily, compile rental listings, and assist with newspaper advertisements. Contact credit bureaus and previous landlords to verify prospective resident history. Make follow-up calls to applicants who did not submit applications and substitute for the Assistant Manager when absent. Attend regular staff, management, and department meetings while updating work order agendas weekly.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
- six months to one year related experience
- related training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to generate reports

- Ability to write procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information
- Ability to respond to questions from clients, customers, and the general public
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure

- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Ability to operate basic office equipment such as copier, fax, computer, typewriter, calculator and telephone
