Job Summary
Implement the marketing plan, greet customers, and schedule appointments to show apartment homes. Explain features to prospects, conduct credit checks on applicants, and prepare leasing agreements for new and renewing residents. Manage the leasing team by developing weekly schedules, deliver notices, and assist with re-rental preparations. Cross-market to other communities, resolve resident concerns, and maintain office models and show conditions. Open and close the office, clean the workspace, and organize files. Prepare for renewal and appreciation parties while ensuring models remain in top condition for prospective renters.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Fair Housing and legal knowledge
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend English
- Must have valid in-state Driver's License and reliable transportation
- Must be flexible and adaptive to the ever-changing market and the owner's objectives and company goals
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
- Management or leadership abilities
- Tactful, mature, flexible and cooperative
- Ability to take initiative and follow tasks through completion
- Reasoning, interpersonal, and appropriate telephone skills
- Computer and typing skills
- Background checks
Desired Qualifications
- College education
- Retail, sales, or customer service experience
- Reading, writing, seeing, hearing and /or communication and mathematical skills
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend English
